Former school nurse
Margaret E. Maffet, 72, of St. Petersburg, Fla., formerly of McMurray, passed away Monday, February 24, 2014.
She was born November 29, 1941, in Canonsburg, a daughter of the late Charles and Margaret Edge Maffet.
Miss Maffet grew up in Peters Township on Center Church Road.
She was an assistant director of nursing at St. Margaret’s Hospital in the Lawrenceville section of Pittsburgh before becoming a school nurse for Peters Township School District.
Before moving to Florida, she was an active member of Center Presbyterian Church.
Services and interment were held at Center Church Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Southeastern Guide Dogs, 4210 77th Street East, Palmetto, FL. 34221. Arrangements are entrusted to Beinhauer-Bogan Funeral Home, Canonsburg. Tributes may be made at beinhauer.com.
