Veteran was 50-year member of Ave Maria Parish
Albin “Mus” Bellotti, 86, of Bentleyville, died Wednesday, January 1, 2014, in his home.
He was born January 7, 1927, in Superior, a son of the late Roman and Cynthia DeBacco Bellotti.
Mr. Bellotti was a 1945 graduate of Bentleyville High School. He was a U.S. Army and Coast Guard veteran, serving during World War II and the Korean conflict.
For 30 years, Mr. Bellotti was a machinist for Corning Glass in Charleroi until his retirement in 1989.
He was a 50-year member of Ave Maria Parish, where he was an usher. He was also a member of Bentleyville American Legion Post 165, Independent Club of Bentleyville and Charleroi Sportsman’s Association.
He enjoyed visiting casinos, fixing clocks of all types and gardening. He was an avid Steelers fan.
Surviving are two brothers, Arthur Bellotti (Mary) and Ronald Bellotti (Eileen), both of Dayton, Ohio; friend Betty Wright of Ellsworth; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to his parents, is his wife, Helen Petronka Bellotti, who died August 12, 1989.
A prayer service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, January 4 at Greenlee Funeral Home, 619 Main Street, Bentleyville, followed by a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in Ave Maria Parish, Bentleyville, with the Rev. Edward Yuhas as celebrant. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Monongahela. Military rites will be accorded by Bentleyville American Legion 165.

Veteran was bass fisherman
Charles Edward Ceney, 86, of Waynesburg, died at 10:05 p.m. Wednesday, January 1, 2014, in Golden Living Center, Franklin Township.
He was born September 23, 1927, in Green Tree, a son of the late John Henry and Emily Harriet Angel Ceney. He resided in Annandale, Va., prior to moving to Waynesburg in 2003.
Mr. Ceney attended Rogersville Christian Church Place of Grace as long as his health permitted.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving as a private first class with the U.S. Army as a switchboard operator.
Mr. Ceney was a machinist and shop foreman for Atlantic Research Corporation, Alexandria, Va., for 35 years, prior to retiring in 1990.
He enjoyed building furniture, was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers, Pittsburgh Pirates and Washington Redskins fan, and was a bass fisherman who won many trophies tournaments.
On February 9, 1952, he married Agnes Mary Scott, who died August 8, 2002.
Surviving are a son, Charles E. Jr., husband of Maryn Shultz Ceney, of Manassas, Va.; a daughter, Elizabeth, wife of Dave Collins, of Wind Ridge; two grandchildren, David Jr. and Anna Collins; a brother, Robert Ceney of Carnegie; and a sister, Florence Pollard of McDonald.
Deceased, in addition to his wife and parents, are five brothers, Frank, Herbert “Bud,” George, John Thomas “Tom,” and Richard; and four sisters, Dara Costilioe, Anna Viohl, Amy Sickles and Emily Cerra.
At the request of the deceased, there will be no public visitation or funeral services. Interment is private.

U.S. Navy veteran was a welder
Donald L. “Skip” Engott, 83, of Houston, died Thursday, January 2, 2014, in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh.
He was born July 31, 1930, in Washington, a son of Frank and Alice Dusie Engott.
Mr. Engott was a 1948 graduate of Chartiers High School. He had worked as a welder for Cooper Industries, the former McGraw-Edison.
Mr. Engott was a veteran, having served in the U.S. Navy.
He was a member of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church and Houston Independent Club and a former member of Washington Country Club.
He enjoyed bowling, was an avid golfer and loved going to the casino.
Surviving are a daughter, Michelle Engott Hadley of Marlton, N.J.; a granddaughter, Kayla Hadley; and many nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to his wife, Mary Cigana, are two sisters, Delores Engott, who died in infancy, and Delores Kovatch; and a brother, Joseph “Buddy” Engott.

Member of St. Benedict the Abbot Church
Melina Fagella, 96, of McMurray, died Friday, January 3, 2014, in Consulate Health Care Center, North Strabane Township.
She was born October 3, 1917, in Bronx, N.Y., a daughter of Vincenzo and Sophia Faiella Santo.
Mrs. Fagella was a homemaker.
She was a longtime member of St. Benedict the Abbot Roman Catholic Church, McMurray.
Her husband, Michael Fagella, died January 13, 2007.
Surviving are a son, Michael J. Fagella of McMurray; a granddaughter, Christi Noel Fagella, also of McMurray; and many nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to her husband, are a brother who during his early childhood in the Influenza Epidemic of 1918; two other brothers, Carmine and Tommy; and three sisters, Connie, Vincenza and Annie.
Friends will be received from 4 to 9 p.m. Monday in Mario L. DeAngelo Funeral Home, 194 East College Street, Canonsburg. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, January 7, in St. Benedict the Abbot Roman Catholic Church, McMurray, with the Rev. Dan Whalen as celebrant. Loyal, caring, devoted and responsible
Karen Augenstein Fisher, 46, of Canonsburg, formerly of Upper St. Clair, died Wednesday, January 1, 2014, after a lengthy illness, surrounded by her family.
She was born October 31, 1967, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late Roy W. and Faye Barton Augenstein, who survives.
Mrs. Fisher was a graduate of Penn State University and was an avid Nittany Lions football fan.
She worked as a director of quality control for 20 years in the food industry. In 2010, she purchased Dogs Rule Grooming Salon at Quail Acres, which she owned and operated.
Mrs. Fisher loved to travel and go on cruises with her family. She will be remembered by her friends as someone who was loyal, caring, devoted and responsible.
She was the beloved wife for 20 years to Michael “Elmo” Fisher, whom she met in 1984 by accident at her parents home; loving mother to Grayling M., Riley F. and Regen E. Fisher; dear sister to Kristen (Joe) Augenstein-Sabol; devoted aunt to Alexander “Willie” and Nicholas Sabol, and many additional nephews. Also surviving are aunts, uncles and cousins, including Jen Mackey, who was most supportive during her illness.
A gathering to celebrate her life will be held from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday in Beinhauer Funeral Home, 2828 Washington Road, McMurray, 724-941-3211. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, January 6, in Ruthfred Lutheran Church, Bethel Park, with Pastor Steve P. Carlson officiating.

Loved spending time with family
Margaret “Peg” Heirendt, 95, of McDonald, died Friday, January 3, 2014, in Canonsburg Hospital.
She was born March 7, 1918, in Cecil, a daughter of the late Henry and Augusta “Hattie” Vaurand Deichler.
Mrs. Heirendt was a homemaker and loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.
On June 1, 1938, she married Nick Steve Heirendt, who died January 3, 1993.
Surviving are two sons, Nick H. (Connie) Heirendt and William “Pine” (Marlene) Heirendt, both of McDonald; a daughter-in-law, Sharon Gooderal of McDonald; a sister, Viola Taylor of Colorado Springs, Colo.; eight grandchildren, Lawrence, Robert, Ronald, Brian, Nicole, Michelle, Nick and Jacklyn; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are two sons, Lawrence and Jack Heirendt; and six sisters, Irene Strimmel, Josephine Pintar, Henrietta Stokes, Lucille Zambelli, Violet Fazzolare and Ruth Bushner.
Friends will be received from noon to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday in Nation Funeral Home Inc., 220 East Lincoln Avenue, McDonald, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, January 6, with the Rev. Dennis Lawrence officiating. Burial will follow in Robinson Run Cemetery, McDonald.

Veteran received many honors
Roy Alan Huggins, 66, of Claysville, died Thursday, December 26, 2013, in Washington Hospital.
He was born October 28, 1947, in Washington, a son of the late Donald Huggins and Sophia Samida Huggins.
Mr. Huggins was a 1966 graduate of Washington High School and attended Washington Institute of Technology and California University of Pennsylvania. He worked as a draftsman at Millcraft Mining for 25 years.
Mr. Huggins served as a corporal in the U.S. Marines from June 9, 1966, until his honorable discharge February 25, 1970. He was awarded a National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Combat Action Ribbon, Presidential Unit Citation, Good Conduct Medal and Rifle Marksman Badge.
On August 25, 2000, he married Carolyn Washinsky, who died April 24, 2005.
Surviving are a son, Jeremy Rush of Claysville; two daughters, Gina E. Rush and ?Elizabeth A. Gladysz, both of Washington; six grandchildren; a nephew, Floyd Steele; a former wife and life-long friend, Sandra; and his former mother-in-law, Jean.
Deceased are a son, Brian J. Zofchak; two brothers, James and Robert Huggins; and two sisters, Thelma Steele and Geraldine Bunner.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, January 8, in National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Township. Military rites will be accorded graveside by American Legion Edwin Scott Linton Post 175.

Trap shooter for 40 years
Thomas G. Malik, 86, of Washington, died Thursday, January 2, 2014, in Kindred Hospital, Oakdale, following a brief illness.
He was born December 1, 1927, in Washington, a son of John Malik and Mary Malik Kalina.
Mr. Malik was a 1945 graduate of Trinity High School. He worked for Cooper Industries of Canonsburg for 35 years.
Mr. Malik was a veteran of World War II.
He was a member of First Lutheran Church of Washington, American Legion Post 175, Pulaski Club, Alpine Club and Golden Pheasant Sportsman’s Club.
On April 7, 1951, he married Gladys Allen Malik in Winchester, Va. She died Feb. 3, 2007.
Surviving are a sister, Mary Oliverio of Washington, and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are two brothers, Justin and John Malik, and a sister, Margaret Slesh.
Friends will be received from noon to 2 p.m., the time of service, Sunday, January 5, in Hummell & Jones Funeral Home, 420 Locust Avenue, Washington, Thomas W. Hummell, supervisor, Douglas M. Carmella E. Sciulli, 90, of Washington, formerly of Bentleyville, died Friday, January 3, 2013, in Strabane Woods.
She was born June 3, 1923, in Bentleyville, a daughter of the late Giuseppe and Pierene Margarette Natelline Brova DeGiorgio.
Mrs. Sciulli was a lifelong member of Ave Maria Parish, Bentleyville, and also a member of the Altar Rosary Society.
For 40 years, she worked for Jet’s Food Center, Bentleyville.
Mrs. Sciulli enjoyed crocheting, bingo, cooking Italian food and baking.
Surviving are three sons, Ben Sciulli Jr. (Joyce) of Beaver Falls, Charles Sciulli of Washington and Joe Sciulli (JoAnn) of Bentleyville; two grandchildren, Eli and Cody Sciulli; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the last of her immediate family.
Deceased, in addition to her husband, Ben Sciulli Sr., who died July 15, 1987, are her stepfather, Vicenzo Bombardia; a sister, Linda DeGeorge; and two brothers, John and Joseph DeGeorge.

Raised horses and cattle
Harold Melvin Stockdale, 89, of Center Township, Greene County, died at 10:09 p.m. Thursday, January 2, 2014, in his home, surrounded by his loving family, after a lengthy illness, which was treated by the exceptional aid of Amedisys Hospice for the past two weeks.
He was born January 21, 1924, in Center Township, Greene County, a son of the late Thomas Melvin and Lenora Willison Stockdale, and resided in Center Township his entire life.
Mr. Stockdale was a member of Rogersville United Methodist Church.
He attended the former Rogersville High School and was a former member of Moose Lodge, Eagles and a social member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, all in Waynesburg.
He was formerly employed as a truck driver for W.P.L.E. for several years, prior to retiring as a heavy equipment operator for Operator Engineers 132, after several years.
Mr. Stockdale enjoyed hunting, fishing, practicing taxidermy, metal and wood working, and working his farm, where he raised horses and cattle.
On January 19, 1943, he married Norma Huffman, who survives.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are two sons, Gary, husband of Carol Stockdale, and Larry Stockdale, both of Rogersville; two daughters, Marietta, wife of Met (Worthy) Fox, and P. Darlene, wife of Kevin Moore, both of Rogersville; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
Deceased, in addition to his parents, are a son, Jeffry Lynn Stockdale, and a daughter, Sue Ella Stockdale, who both died in infancy; a half-brother, Earl Hopkins; and a half-sister, Helen Bradley.

Sugar Grove Union Church member
Faye Hill Wilson, 85, of Brownsville, formerly of Center Township, Greene County, died at 2:33 a.m. Thursday, January 2, 2014, in Flo’s Personal Care Home, Elco, after being seriously ill the past couple of months.
She was born September 20, 1928, in McCracken, a daughter of the late Orval and Nora Vaughn Weimer Lohr. She resided in Center Township and Cameron, W.Va., prior to moving to Brownsville in 2008.
Mrs. Wilson was a member of Sugar Grove Union Church.
She was a graduate of the former Aleppo High School.
Mrs. Wilson volunteered at bingo at the Rogersville V.F.D. She enjoyed going to flea markets with her late husband Elza (Dode).
In 1947, she married Allen Ralph Hill Sr., who died March 19, 1971, and on September 10, 1971, she married Elza “Dode” Commodore Wilson, who died September 25, 2008.
Surviving are two daughters, Donna Brown of Waynesburg, and Janet, wife of Louis Hunyady, of Brownsville, with whom she had made her home with since 2008; two stepdaughters, Linda, wife of Larry Ashby, of Cameron, W.Va., and Sheila, wife of Floyd Showalter of Massillon, Ohio; three stepsons, Denzik, husband of Jeanie Wilson, of Carnegie, Arnold, husband of Vickie Wilson, of Prosperity, and Kevin, husband of Meg Wilson, of Rogersville; 25 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Irma McCoy of Mt. Morris.
Deceased, in addition to her parents and husbands, are two sons, Michael and Allen Jr. Hill; a daughter, Debra Hill, who died in infancy; a sister, Hazel Jones; and three brothers, John “Bill”, Weimer “Shorty” and Jay Lohr.
