Emery Sakerka Jr., 77, of Washington, died Friday, January 3, 2014, in his home.
He was born May 4, 1936, in Washington, a son of the late Emery Sr. and Mary A. Beck Sakerka.
Mr. Sakerka attended Trinity High School and went on to work as a crane operator for Jessop Steel for more than 40 years before retiring.
He was a member of Jessop Club and enjoyed his cars, hunting, bird-watching and mowing grass.
Surviving are two daughters, Lu Ann (Steven) Hickman of Prosperity and Janie (Bill) Curran of Monessen; a brother, Robert (Lois) Sakerka of Florida; a sister, Carol Howard (Ted) Smith of Florida; three grandchildren, Tiffany (Gene) Nicastro, Clinton (Leni) Hickman and Blake Curran; and two great-grandchildren, Sofia and Giavanna Nicastro.
Deceased are two brothers, Paul and Frank Sakerka.
