Helen Louise Stout Carder

1932-2013
Helen Carder, 81, passed away Tuesday, December 30, 2013, in Sandy, Utah.
She was born on December 27, 1932, in Weston, W.Va, a daughter of Freeman Stout and Mary Straley Stout, and was the eldest of eight children.
As a young woman, she graduated from Weston High School in 1950 and worked at Weston National Bank until she married Denver Carder in 1954. They moved to Ohio and then to Waynesburg, where they lived from 1971 until her passing.
Mrs. Carder was an amazing cook, loved quilting and had an affection for antiques.
She valued her membership in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she was actively involved with many groups and activities.
Mrs. Carder also cherished her time spent volunteering for Friends of Ruby Memorial Hospital at West Virginia University for more than 15 years.
She will be missed by so many whose lives she touched over the years.
Surviving are her devoted husband, Denver; children Robin Carder Bradford (Steven and their daughter Christina) and Dennis Carder (Lisette and their children Matthew and Rachel); a brother; and five sisters.
A brother is deceased.
The caring staff in Alta Ridge Alzheimer’s Community provided loving care to Mr. and Mrs. Carder for the past 18 months.
