Joan Rowene Lewis, 80, of Houston, died Saturday, January 4, 2014, in Canonsburg Hospital.
She was born April 13, 1933, in Canonsburg, a daughter of Frank and Nettie Patzsch Lewis.
A lifetime area resident, she was a member of Canonsburg United Presbyterian Church, where she taught Sunday school in her younger years.
Prior to retirement, she worked in assembly for Black Box Corp. and previously for RCA.
Surviving are a brother, Robert Lewis of Houston; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are a brother, Howard Lewis, and five sisters, Emma Cox, Dorothy Bell, Helen Lewis, Jane Farabee and Betty Backner.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Sollon Funeral Home Ltd., 30 East College Street, Canonsburg, J. David Sollon, supervisor, Phillip L. Sollon, director, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, January 9, with the Rev. Kathy Peternel officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Spring Cemetery, Canonsburg.
