Frances W. Kovacicek, 80, of Washington, died Tuesday, January 7, 2014, in her home.
She was born May 6, 1933, in Canonsburg, a daughter of the late Faye and Anne Stevens.
Mrs. Kovacicek attended Washington High School and went on to work as a packer for Brockway Glass for 29 years. She retired, after 20 years of service, from the housekeeping department of Presbyterian SeniorCare.
She loved spending time with her family, as well as shopping, puzzle books and especially her hummingbirds.
On July 8, 1961, in Pigeon Creek Church, she married Frank Kovacicek, who died May 8, 2000.
Surviving are a son, Frank L. (Tina) Kovacicek of Washington; a daughter, Lesa L. (Charles “Harley” Avery) Kovacicek of Washington; and a sister, Dorothy Herceg of Washington.
She also leaves behind her beloved furry friends, Daisy and Lexi.
Deceased are two brothers, Vernon and Roy Stevens.
Friends will be received from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Piatt and Barnhill Funeral Home, 420 Locust Avenue, Washington, where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, January 10. Interment will follow in Washington Cemetery, Washington.
