Greene County secretary
Lois Jean King, 78, of Nemacolin, died Friday, January 10, 2014, in her home, after a nine-month illness.
She was born September 19, 1935, in Fairdale, Cumberland Township, a daughter of the late Ernest and Mary Babyak Decker.
Surviving are three sons, Bill Balint of Nemacolin, Bob Balint and wife Phyllis of Arlington, Va., and John Kovach and wife Tammy of Moore, Okla.; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two brothers, Robert Decker and wife Mary of Carmichaels and Donald Decker and wife Ida of Khedive; two sisters, Beverly Plicta and husband Bill of Carmichaels and Patricia Mays and husband Arthur of Maryland.
Mrs. King worked as a secretary in the Greene County Prothonotary and Sheriff’s Department and for Cumberland Township.
She was a member of Greene Valley Church of God, Crucible.
Mrs. King enjoyed painting pictures in her spare time.
Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday and noon to 1 p.m., the time of service, Monday, January 13, in Lesako Funeral Home Inc., 204 Dowlin Avenue, Carmichaels, PA 15320, 724-966-5100, Paul M.
