Library custodian was active at Holy Rosary Church

Bernard P. Marin, 71, of Muse, died unexpectedly Monday, January 13, 2014.

He was born March 29, 1942, in Coverdale, a son of the late John and Susan Drost Marin.

He was an active member of Holy Rosary Church, Muse, where he helped with everything and anything. He also belonged to Knights of Columbus, Franciscans of Pittsburgh and Legion of Mary.

At the time of his death, he was a custodian at Frank Sarris Public Library and previously worked in shipping for Cooper Industries and All-Clad Metalcrafters.

Surviving are seven brothers, Frank Marin and Edward Marin, both of Canonsburg, John Marin of Morgan, Eugene Marin of Muse, Richard Marin of Greensburg, Robert Marin of Canonsburg and David Marin of Castle Shannon; two sisters, Diane Sutherland of Eldridge, Iowa, and Rita (Barbara) Woodruff of Erie, Colo.; and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased are two brothers, Thomas Marin and Anthony Marin, and two sisters, Mildred Marin and Catherine Marin.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Sollon Funeral Home Ltd., 30 East College Street, Canonsburg, J. David Sollon, supervisor, Phillip L. Sollon, director, where departing prayers will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday, January 17, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Holy Rosary Church, Muse, with the Rev. George DeVille officiating. Interment will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Peters Township.
