Doris Jean Gray Moore, 69, of Aleppo, Springhill Township, died Tuesday, January 14, 2014, in her home, after battling a cancer-related illness since July.
She was born July 5, 1944, in Powhaten Point, Ohio, a daughter of the late Worley and Irene Pauline Gray.
Mrs. Moore had resided in the Scenery Hill area most of her married life, prior to moving to Springhill Township in the early 2000s.
She enjoyed fishing, gardening and helping raise her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
On May 5, 1964, she married Charles Wendell Moore, who died January 14, 2008.
Surviving are two daughters, Katherine Irene Forsythe of Grafton, W.Va., and Glenna Sue Lucy of Springhill Township, with whom she shared a home; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three brothers, Raymond, Edward and Robert Gray; two sisters, Pearl Edgar and Mary Herrod; and several nieces and nephews.
