Linda J. Daugherty, 58, of Canonsburg, formerly of Eighty Four and Muse, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, January 11, 2014, in her home.
She was born November 27, 1955, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late Albert “Hoopy” and Maxine May Satterfield Summers Jr.
Mrs. Daugherty attended Canon-McMillan schools and lived most of her life in the Muse and Eighty Four areas since 1996.
She enjoyed crocheting and crafts.
On April 26, 1974, she married John T. Daugherty IV, who passed away January 7, 2013.
Surviving are two sons, John T. (Francis) Daugherty V and Albert Michael Daugherty, both of Canonsburg; two daughters, Christina Lynn (Doyle) Daugherty Brooks of Avalon and Linda Jo Ann Daugherty of Eighty Four; three brothers, Wayne G. (Antoinette) Summers of McKees Rocks, John A. (Sandi) Summers of Washington and Ray V. (Jamie) Summers of Muse; two sisters, Margaret J. Michrina and Elsie Summers, both of Washington; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to her husband and parents, is a brother, Michael Summers.
Friends and family are welcome to celebrate Mrs. Daugherty’s life from 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday in Muse Volunteer Fire Department social hall. Interment will be private.
