Sephora A. “Nan” Lucas, 77, of Salem, Ohio, died at 2:05 a.m. Monday, January 13, 2014, in Circle of Care, Salem.
She was born April 19, 1936, in Carmichaels, a daughter of the late Charles C. and Florence M. Crago Plues.
Mrs. Lucas was a secretary for Salem-Republic Rubber Co., retiring in 2001, and previously was a secretary for Dr. Robert Foster.
She was Presbyterian, a 1954 graduate of Cumberland Township High School, Carmichaels, and a 53-year resident of the Salem area.
Deceased are her husband, John F. Lucas, whom she married July 2, 1955, and who preceded her in death January 29, 2011, and two sisters, Carolyn Jane Plues and Shirley M. Taylor.
Surviving are two sisters, F. Charlene (Stephen) Rapchak of Lexington, Ky., and Victoria S. (Daniel) Rendine of Tigard, Ore.; a niece, Larisa (Rapchak) Erwin of Ashburn, Va.; and several other nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Burial will be held at a later date in National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Township.
