Beverly Louise Gatten, 78, of Washington, died Wednesday, January 15, 2014, following a lengthy illness, surrounded by her family.

She was born July 7, 1935, a daughter of the late Ensley and Helen Cummins Kelsey.

A member of Church of Christ, she had worked at the Cherry Tree in the George Washington hotel, where she also had been a banquet server.

Mrs. Gatten was a member of Ladies of the Moose, Lodge 22, where she had been active in the dartball league for 40 years.

She loved animals and the outdoors, especially spending time in the mountains.

On January 24, 1972, she married Jack Gaylord Gatten, who died November 17, 2008.

Surviving are five sons, Jack Reihner Jr. of Washington, Doug Gatten of West Alexander, Dave Gatten of New York, N.Y., William Reihner of Erie and Charles Reihner of Washington; two daughters, Lisa Gatten and Amy Cox, both of Washington; a sister, Nancy Sanpietro of Washington; 15 grandchildren, Josh, Chris, Jimmy, Zach, Cameron, Jennifer, MacKenzie, Megan, Dustin, Jordan, Christina, Preston, Chantel, Brennon and Amanda; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Deceased, are a daughter, Janet Pabian; a sister, Betty; and a brother, Jimmy.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, January 20, with Pastor Dan Lutz officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray.
