Tax accountant was coach for youth sports
William R. “Bill” Marth, 53, of Washington died Wednesday, January 15, 2014, in UPMC-Shadyside hospital, Pittsburgh.
He was born March 29, 1960, in Avella, a son of the late William Marth and Ida Jean Bambarger Marth of Washington.
Mr. Marth was a member of Immaculate Conception Church.
He was a graduate of Avella High School and Waynesburg College.
He was a self-employed tax accountant for his company, ATC Business Services Inc., Washington, for more than 24 years.
Mr. Marth was an avid golfer, enjoyed hunting and was very active with youth sports, coaching baseball, basketball and football, in which his boys were involved at the time. He was a member of Washington Youth Baseball, where most of the kids still called him “Coach.” He was a former member of the Arms Club and Washington Country Club. He was very involved in the community.
On March 6, 1987, he married Veronica Rohanna, who survives.
Also surviving are his sons, William Robert Marth II of Bethel Park and Alexander Woodrow Marth, at home; two brothers; a sister; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in Warco-Falvo Funeral Home Inc., Wilson at East Katherine avenues, Washington, S. Timothy Warco, supervisor/director, Susan Falvo Warco, director, S. Timothy Warco II, director. A prayer service will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday, January 21, in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, 119 West Chestnut Street, Washington. Burial will follow in St. Ann Church Cemetery, Waynesburg.
