Wilburt “Jade” Moore, 75, of Fairview, W.Va., passed away Tuesday, January 28, 2014, in his home.
He was born June 10, 1938, in Daybrook, W.Va., a son of the late John Russell and Dorothy Gail Haught Moore.
Mr. Moore was retired from Eastern Coal Co. Fed. No. 1 Mine in Grant Town, W.Va., and a member of the United Mine Workers of America.
He attended Daybrook United Methodist Church and was a former timber consultant.
Mr. Moore truly loved life. He enjoyed West Virginia University sports, hunting with his grandchildren and getting together with his entire family.
Surviving are his wife, Dottie Wilson Reesman Moore of Fairview; children Jaretta Gail Finch, Charles Wendell Moore and wife Patricia Lynn, Kendal Lee Moore and wife Michelle, Jason Timothy Moore and wife Kara, all of Fairview, Cindy Donaldson and husband Paul of Walton, Ky.; three brothers, Royal “Measle” Moore and wife Joann of Fairview, Roger Moore of Morgantown, W.Va., and Johnny Moore and wife Sandy of Daybrook; four sisters, Rose Moore of Daybrook, Nancy Statler and husband Albert of Mooresville, W.Va., Judith “Bird” Sine of Daybrook and Carolyn “Kay” Wilson and husband Leonard of Daybrook; 12 grandchildren, Eric and Levi Finch, Marissa and Hunter Moore, Evan, Aaron, and Allison Moore, Karson and Kirston Moore and Kilee, Benjamen, and Kelsey Donaldson; a special caregiver, Barbie Barr; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday in Domico Funeral Home, Curry Chapel in Fairview. The body will lie in state from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, February 1, in Daybrook United Methodist Church. The service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in the church with the Rev.
