Loved hunting and fishing
Stephen J. Bosick, 47, of Slovan, died Thursday, January 30, 2014, in UPMC-Montefiore hospital, Pittsburgh, with his family at his side.
He was born January 23, 1967, a son of John and Louise Sentipal Bosick of Slovan.
Mr. Bosick worked many jobs, most notably McKees Rocks Forging and Langeloth Metallurgical.
He was a resident of Slovan all of his life and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Surviving, in addition to his parents, are a son, Stephen Bosick Jr.; a sister, Michele (Emmett) Walsh; best friend and cousin, Ron Sentipal; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Also surviving is his Yorkshire terrier canine buddy, Bull.
At the request of the deceased, there will be no public visitation. Private visitation for family will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday in Taucher Funeral Home, 23 Erie Mine Road, Burgettstown, immediately followed by a blessing service with the Rev. George Moneck officiating.

Missed by those who knew and loved her
Olive Mae Ross Caldwell, 97, of Pataskala, Ohio, formerly of Greene County, died at 9:30 p.m. Thursday, January 30, 2014, in Tuscany Gardens Hospice Facility, Pataskala.
She was born Tuesday, October 31, 1916, in Connellsville, a daughter of the late Earl Ross and Maude Yowler Ross.
Mrs. Caldwell was a member of Washington Street United Methodist Church in Waynesburg.
She had worked as a clerk of deeds in the Greene County Courthouse, before retiring several years ago.
After her husband passed away in 1956, she devoted her life to her three sons, John, Dan and Bill, who share this sentiment: “Mom, you will always be with us and us with you. Our love is forever.”
Her husband, John Raymond Caldwell, whom she married January 11, 1942, died in 1956.
Surviving are two sons and their wives, Daniel Earl and Martha Caldwell of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, and John Ross and Eileen Caldwell of Salt Lake City, Utah; five grandchildren, Danyel, Carla, Max, Nick and Lucas; four great-grandchildren, Blake, Joe, Sadie and Eden; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to her parents and husband, are a son, William T. Caldwell; two brothers, Joe and Homer Ross; and three cousins, Eleanor Gallatin, Duane and Meredith Ridgeway.
She will be missed so much by those who have been blessed to have known and loved her. May she rest now in God’s peace.
Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the time of service, Tuesday, February 4, in Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home Inc., Daryl L. Former Avella resident
Lois Irene Ezarik, 85, of Jacksonville, Ark., formerly of Avella, died at 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 28, 2014, in St. Vincent North Hospital, Sherwood, Ark.
She was born October 29, 1928, in Avella, a daughter of the late Daniel A. and Martha I. Kuhns Strope.
Mrs. Ezarik was a 1945 graduate of Avella High School.
She lived in Louisiana for several years with her husband until they returned to Avella in 1990. While living in Louisiana, she was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Houma.
Mrs. Ezarik worked at Meadowcroft Village in Avella for six years.
On August 11, 1948, in West Middletown, she married Albert J. Ezarik, who died April 23, 2005.
Surviving are four sons, Alan (Beth) Ezarik of Tulsa, Okla., David (Michelle) Ezarik of Southlake, Texas, Mark (Janet) Ezarik of San Francisco, Calif., and Gary (Allegra) Ezarik of Jacksonville; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Edna “Sally” Strope of San Antonio, Texas, and Thelma (Phil) Kaniatobe of Tulsa.
Deceased, in addition to her husband and parents, are a brother, Daniel Strope, and two sisters, Patricia Fusarelli and Shirley McManus.
Friends and family will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in Jerome A. Stefkovich Funeral Home Inc., located at 18 Campbell Street, Avella, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, February 3, with Pastor Fran Skariot officiating. Burial will be in West Point Cemetery, Avella.

Played football for Chicago Bears
John Kreamcheck, 88, of McHenry, Ill., passed away peacefully January 28, 2014, after a brief illness.
Mr. Kreamcheck was born January 7, 1926, in Vestaburg.
He served with the U.S. Marine Corps for five years and was a veteran of World War II. After his service, he attended the College of William & Mary, where he played football and won All-Southern Honors. After college, he was drafted by the Chicago Bears, where he played for George Halas from 1953 to 1955. Mr. Kreamcheck was regarded as one of the toughest defensive lineman of his time. After his football career, he served as a Chicago policeman until he retired in 1984. During his retirement years, he enjoyed golf, gardening, watching the stock market and spending time at the bowling alley, where he enjoyed having a good debate among good friends.
Mr. Kreamcheck was a big man with an even bigger heart toward family and friends. He will be forever remembered and missed by many people who loved him.
Surviving are a sister-in-law, Ann (the late Edward “Midge”) Kreamcheck, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy; his parents, Joseph and Mary (Lemonski) Kreamcheck; brothers Alec, Stanley, Peter, Walter “Buggs” and Edward “Midge” Kreamcheck; and sisters Frances (Fritz) Santo, Estelle Kennedy and Margaret Prescott.
A celebration of his life will be held in the near future.

Hunter Lafe McAdoo, 10 months old, of Claysville, died at 6:48 a.m. Friday, January 31, 2014, following a lengthy illness.

Enjoyed bingo and crossword puzzles
Patricia A. Nice, 74, of Burgettstown, formerly of Midway, died Friday, January 31, 2014, in Donnell House, Washington.
She was born June 6, 1939, in Midway, a daughter of the late Russell and Frances Griffith.
Mrs. Nice was a clerk at the Midway Uni-Mart.
She enjoyed playing bingo, doing crossword puzzles and traveling.
Surviving are children, Jeffry J. (Amanda) Nice of Midway, Lori (Randy Sprowls) Fischer of Burgettstown and Kurt (Lisa) Russell of Bulger; grandchildren Zachary and Dylan Nice, Chris and Nick Cooks, Andy and John Nice and Alyssa and Emily Fulmer; and a great-grandchild, Braeden Larue.
Deceased are her husband, John H. Nice in 1996, and brother Chuck Griffith.

U.S. Army veteran enjoyed family trips
Alex Hugh O’Rourke, 83, of Cecil, passed away peacefully Friday, January 31, 2014.
He was born October 20, 1930, in Canonsburg, a son of the late Hugh and Helen Lozer O’Rourke.
On October 23, 1954, he married Jacqueline Frazier O’Rourke, who survives.
Mr. and Mrs. O’Rourke had four children, Gary O’Rourke, who is deceased, Beth (Chris) Dempster of Center Township, David (Denise) O’Rourke of Tampa, Fla., and Janet O’Rourke of Cecil.
He leaves behind five grandchildren, Matthew (Beth) O’Rourke of Mesa, Ariz., Christina (Max) Oravetz of Canonsburg, Jessica (Shane) Rooney of Woodbridge, Va., Ian O’Rourke of Morgantown, W.Va., and Kyleigh O’Rourke of Tampa. He was a great-grandfather to Tyler, Emily, Bailee, Alex, Maggie Ryan and Grant.
Mr. O’Rourke graduated from the University of Pittsburgh, School of Engineering. He worked for the Mine Safety Health Administration as a mining engineer prior to his retirement in 1995.
He served as a sergeant in the U.S. Army from 1952 to 1954. He was a good, strong man and will be missed.
Mr. O’Rourke enjoyed family trips, watching sports and John Wayne movies and reading murder mysteries and many newspapers daily. He was the guru of senseless information and would have done well on “Who Wants to be a Millionaire.” He was always up for a debate on many issues.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in Coleman-Taylor Funeral Service, 3378 Millers Run Road, Rt. 50, Cecil, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, February 3, with Pastor Gary Chorpenning officiating. Interment will follow in Venice Cemetery.

Mary Tornabene, 92, of Canonsburg, passed away peacefully Friday, January 31, 2014, in Paramount Senior Living, Peters Township.

Member of Mary, Mother of the Church
Rita J. Trettel, 88, of Charleroi, died Friday, January 31, 2014.
Born on November 25, 1925, she was a daughter of the late Matthias and Kathryn Taylor.
She was a member of Mary, Mother of the Church, Jednota and was a graduate of Charleroi High School, Class of 1943.
Mrs. Trettel worked for many years as a lunch mother for Charleroi School District.
Surviving are sons, Daniel Trettel and wife Karen of Darlington, Robert Trettel and wife Jeanne of Monongahela, Thomas Trettel and wife Laurie of Washington and John “Jack” Trettel and wife Brenda of Stockdale; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, deceased are her husband, Robert V. Trettel in 1975, and siblings Joseph, Cecelia, Amelia, Catherine, Johanna, Mary, Martha and Bertha.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in Carl J. Spallino Funeral Home, Charleroi. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, February 4, in Mary, Mother of the Church, Charleroi, celebrated by the Rev. Gerald Mikonis. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Former Washington resident
Mary Elizabeth Baker Zullo, 66, of Greenacres, Fla., formerly of Washington, passed away Friday, January 24, 2014, after a two-year illness.
She was born December 10, 1947, in Washington, a daughter of the late Robert C. Baker Jr. and Mary Ann Helicke Baker.
Mrs. Zullo was a graduate of Washington High School, Class of 1965, Weaver Airlines School and Roffler Beauty College.
She worked in numerous positions in different industries, including store manager for Goodyear Tire and Rubber in San Jose and Cupertino, Calif., owner and manager of Reflections & Images Beauty Salon, bank teller, secretary and office manager.
Deceased are her father, Robert C. Baker Jr. in 1998, and her mother, Mary Ann Baker in 2012. She and her parents were members of St. Hilary’s Catholic Church.
Surviving are her husband, Dennis Zullo of Greenacres; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Dennis and Katy Zullo of Klamath Falls, Ore., and Robert N. Zullo of Chiloquin, Ore.; seven grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
Cremation will be held at All County Funeral Home in Lake Worth, Fla., and at a later date, Mass and services will be at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Chiloquin.
