Missed by those who knew and loved her
Olive Mae Ross Caldwell, 97, of Pataskala, Ohio, formerly of Greene County, died at 9:30 p.m. Thursday, January 30, 2014, in Tuscany Gardens Hospice Facility, Pataskala.
She was born Tuesday, October 31, 1916, in Connellsville, a daughter of the late Earl Ross and Maude Yowler Ross.
Mrs. Caldwell was a member of Washington Street United Methodist Church in Waynesburg.
She had worked as a clerk of deeds in the Greene County Courthouse, before retiring several years ago.
After her husband passed away in 1956, she devoted her life to her three sons, John, Dan and Bill, who share this sentiment: “Mom, you will always be with us and us with you. Our love is forever.”
Her husband, John Raymond Caldwell, whom she married January 11, 1942, died in 1956.
Surviving are two sons and their wives, Daniel Earl and Martha Caldwell of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, and John Ross and Eileen Caldwell of Salt Lake City, Utah; five grandchildren, Danyel, Carla, Max, Nick and Lucas; four great-grandchildren, Blake, Joe, Sadie and Eden; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to her parents and husband, are a son, William T. Caldwell; two brothers, Joe and Homer Ross; and three cousins, Eleanor Gallatin, Duane and Meredith Ridgeway.
She will be missed so much by those who have been blessed to have known and loved her. May she rest now in God’s peace.
Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the time of service, Tuesday, February 4, in Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home Inc., Daryl L. Throckmorton, owner/director, 197 North Maiden Street, Waynesburg, with the Rev. Tom Kroll officiating. Burial will be in Greene County Memorial Park, Morgan Township.
