McDonald woman was Pittsburgh sports fan

Margaret “Peggy” Corbett Pelc, 64, of McDonald, Cecil Township, went to be with her Lord Wednesday, February 26, 2014, as the result of a tragic house fire.

She was born January 24, 1950, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late James and Anne McCarthy Corbett.

Mrs. Pelc worked for the Army Corps of Engineers as an administrative assistant, retiring in 2003. She loved the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Pittsburgh Penguins.

On May 7, 1977, she married Stephen M. Pelc, who survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Geoffrey Martin Pelc of McDonald and Jason Andrew Pelc of Cleveland, Ohio; three brothers, Frank Corbett of Missouri and Patrick and James Corbett, both of Pittsburgh; and a sister, Anna Mary Giannuzzi of Pittsburgh.

Deceased are two brothers, William and John Corbett.
