Wilma Matz
Grandmother enjoyed camping
Wilma Matz, 79, of Bentleyville, died Monday, March 3, 2014, in Mon Valley Hospital.
She was born September 24, 1934, in Houston, a daughter of August and Wilma “Dolly” Jester Curdie.
Mrs. Matz was a 1953 graduate of Chartiers High School.
She enjoyed camping and attending camping rallies and belonged to motor home associations The Good Sam Club and Family Motor Coach Association.
On August 3, 1955, she married Frank Matz, who survives.
Also surviving are twin grandchildren, Zachary A. Gulden of Bentleyville and Danielle P. Klanchar of McKeesport; a great-granddaughter, Aliya Dawn Gulden; two sisters, Barbara (Ray) Matthews of Scenery Hill and Robynne (Gary) Heckman of Eighty Four; and several nieces and nephews.
A daughter, Dawn L. Matz, is deceased.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 6, in McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, owner/supervisor, 27 Cherry Avenue, Houston, PA 15342. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Deborah Heart and Lung Center, 200 Trenton Road, Browns Mills, NJ 08015.
