Avid club member was a cinder block maker
Stephen Molek, 55, of Charleroi, died peacefully in his home Thursday, March 13, 2014, surrounded by family.
Born June 20, 1958, in Charleroi, he was a son of Mathias Molek of Coal Center and the late Shirley J. Baciak Molek.
Mr. Molek was a cinder block maker for Stone & Co. in Charleroi for more than 11 years. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion, Belgium Club, Slovak Club and the Slavic Club in Charleroi, the Independent Club and Polish Club in Bentleyville and the Allenport Rod and Gun Club.
Surviving are his longtime companion, Anne Laktash of Charleroi; a son, Stephen B. (Susie) Molek of Webster; a daughter, Ashley D. (Eric) Selva of Belle Vernon; three brothers, Matt Molek Jr. and Jeff Molek, both of Bentleyville, and Brad (Debbie) Molek of New Jeresy; a sister, Pam (Mark Watts) Molek of Monessen; three grandchildren, Skyla, Audrey and Kathryn; numerous nieces and nephews; and many friends.
Also surviving is his beloved pet, Geno.
Deceased is a sister, Kimberly I. Molek.
Visitation will be held 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in Leonard M. Pavlic Funeral Homes Inc., 235 Fallowfield Avenue, Charleroi, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, March 17, with the Rev. Ron Schermerhorn. Interment will follow in Charleroi Cemetery.
