Edward F. “Bud” Williams Sr., 95, of Jefferson Hills, died Friday, December 1, 2017, in Southwestern Nursing Care Center, West Mifflin.

He was born November 20, 1922, in Triadelphia, W.Va., a son of Edward and Clara Bowers Williams.

Mr. Williams retired as a laborer from the former Mississippi Glass Co. in Floreffe.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Mr. Williams was Protestant.

Surviving are a son, Edward Williams Jr. and wife Mary Lou of Cochranville; a brother, Henry Bowers of Mt. Morris; a sister, Gladys Luznar of Broughton; two grandchildren, Edward Williams III and Lauren Stanton; two great-grandchildren, Lillian and Bennett; and many nieces and nephews.

Deceased are his wife, Gladys Cole Williams, who died in April 2002; three brothers, Richard Williams and Will and Dave Bowers; and a sister, Ruthann Garry.

Friends will be received from 10 to 11:30 a.m., the time of service, Friday, December 8, in Kegel Funeral Home Inc., Tim P. Kegel, supervisor, David P. Kegel, director, 3560 Washington Avenue, Finleyville, with Pastor Kevin Young officiating. Interment will follow in Finleyville Cemetery, with full military honors accorded by Mon Valley Honor Guard and Firing Squad.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
