Donley R. Weaver
Donley R. “Don” Weaver, 71, of Holbrook, passed away Sunday, December 10, 2017, in Waynesburg Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born December 15, 1945, in Jackson Township, a son of the late Ray “Bus” and Anna Katherine Utt Weaver.
Mr. Weaver was an avid outdoorsman who loved to go deer and turkey hunting every year. He also enjoyed trips to his cabin.
He was a timber cutter for many timber companies in western Greene county, the last being Berdine’s Custom Hardwoods. He was fond of the timber and sawmill industry. He also worked for Greenridge Oil & Gas Co. as a well tender, until becoming disabled in 1993.
Surviving are his wife of 48 years, Ellen Fern Cunningham Weaver of Holbrook; four children, Annette (Cecil) Hennen of Holbrook, Donley G. (Eve) Weaver of Graysville, Randy Weaver of Holbrook and Nathan Weaver of Holbrook; two grandchildren, Donovan Lee “Bubby” Weaver and J.P. (Madison) Hennen; a great-grandchild, Liam Hennen; two brothers, John Weaver and Charles “Bub” Weaver, both of New Freeport; a brother-in-law, Ralph “PI” Cunningham; a sister-in-law, Betty Jean (Morris) Weaver; and many nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to his parents, are a granddaughter, Savannah Hennen; two sisters, Edna Mae (Weaver) Main and Betty Lee (Weaver) Cunningham; a brother, Ralph Weaver; and a brother-in-law, Arthur R. Main Jr.
Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Kesterson-Rush Funeral Home LLC, 3275 West Roy Furman Highway, Rogersville, PA 15359, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 13, with the Rev. Vernon Kay Berdine officiating. Burial will follow in Bethany Cemetery, Jackson Township.
