Donna L. “Peanut” McPherson Williams, 74, of Washington, died Sunday, December 10, 2017, in Donnell House, Washington.
She was born, December 25, 1942, in Monongahela, a daughter of the late Margaret Anne McPherson Foster.
Mrs. Williams was a member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, where she was a deaconess and sang in the choir.
She was a certified nursing assistant for over 30 years, having worked at Washington Hospital, John J. Kane, Presbyterian SeniorCare and Washington Hospital Extended Care.
Mrs. Williams enjoyed fishing, socializing and singing.
On December 20, 1994, in Wheeling, she married John R. Williams, who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Anthony T. (Kim) Severns of Scenery Hill; three daughters, Vera Ann (Gary Drew) Cochran of Washington, Donna Shamaine (Glenn) Miller of Meadowlands and Dedra Renee Wingfield of Washington; nine grandchildren, Shelby and Tanner Severns, NcKisha Cochran, Cheyne Severns, Kimberly Layvell and Colby Miller, Anthony Chaz Severns, Lawrence Kiel Wingfield and Xavier Severns; and eight great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a grandson, Justan McCoy Wingfield, and a great-granddaughter, Ava Maria Severns.
Friends will be received from 4 to 6 p.m., the time of service, Thursday, in the Piatt and Barnhill Funeral Home, 420 Locust Avenue, Washington. Services will begin at 6 p.m. All other services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
