Charles M. Kuhn, 83, of Burgettstown, Hanover Township, passed away Tuesday evening, December 19, 2017, in Weirton, W.Va. Medical Center and was reunited with his beloved wife.
He was born June 18, 1934, in Brave, a son of the late Harry and Elizabeth Cole Kuhn.
Mr. Kuhn was an active member of Weirton First Church of the Nazarene, where he served as a past trustee and board member. He was helpful in moving the church to their current location and enjoyed going to their annual summer camp.
He retired from J and L Steel, Aliquippa.
His beloved wife, Madolyn Husk Kuhn, whom he married November 14, 1952, preceded him in death December 20, 2006.
He is survived by four sons, Charles Kuhn and wife Debbie of New Cumberland, W.Va., Rodney Kuhn and wife Miriam of Logan, Ohio, David Kuhn and wife Tina of Columbus, Ohio and Chris Kuhn and wife Ashlee of Texas; daughter Vera Meneely and husband Gary of Weirton, W.Va.; 19 grandchildren and their spouses; 20 great-grandchildren; sister Virginia Clayton of Waynesburg; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to his parents and wife, are a son, John Mark Kuhn; a granddaughter, Elizabeth Joy Meneely; brothers and sisters Virginia, Sam, Bud, Eva Jean and two who died in infancy.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in Weirton First Church of the Nazarene, 475 Colliers Way, Weirton, WV 26062, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 23, with the Reverends Brian Richardson and Larry Barkley officiating. He will be laid to rest beside his wife in Independence Cemetery, Avella.
If so desired, memorial donations may be made in his memory to his church.
