William Leroy Haring, 76, of Waynesburg, died at 7:45 a.m. Thursday, December 21, 2017, in Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, W.Va.

He was born Thursday, September 25, 1941, in Waynesburg, a son of the late Joseph Haring and Anna Durbin Haring.

Mr. Haring was a veteran, serving with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding horses. He loved watching western movies on TV.

Mr. Haring worked for Big Sand Drilling Co. in Jane Lew, W.Va., as a driller. He also worked as a laborer at the feed store in Waynesburg.

He is survived by his wife, Kathryn Henderson Haring, whom he married October 19, 1973.

Also surviving are a daughter, Anna Goodman and husband Rick of Tacoma, Wash.; three stepdaughters, Joyce Mills and husband Thomas of Melbane, N.C., Brenda Fogle and husband Terry of Washington and Loretta Cook and husband Paul of Rogersville; a stepson, George Durbin and wife Bobbie of Carmichaels; 20 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; two special grandchildren, Alyssa Kuhn and Maranda Durbin; a sister, Mary Burnfield of Waynesburg; three brothers, Charles Haring and Robert Haring, both of Waynesburg, and Joseph Haring of Girard, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased are two brothers, George and Edward Haring.

At the request of the deceased, there will be no public visitation. A memorial service will be held by the family at a later date. Private burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Whiteley Township, Greene County. Arrangements are entrusted to Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home Inc., Daryl L.
