Joanna Patricia Ferguson, of Houston, formerly of Butler, passed away Saturday, December 23, 2017.
She was the beloved wife of the late John Francis Ferguson.
Born April 22, 1939, in Rimersburg, she was a daughter of the late John and Ruth Merrell; loving mother of Jennifer (John) Martincic, Jessica (Jonathan) Ament, Judd Ferguson, Jacqueline (Chriss) Marshman and Janette Osche; cherished grandmother of Adrielle (Anthony) Livesay, Addisen Knetzer, Calvin Martincic, Samantha and Spencer Ament, Alexandra (Severn) Turok, Logan and Dempsey Ferguson, Maddison, Hunter and Mason Marshman and Guiliana and Ryleigh Osche; great-grandmother of Mara Livesay; dear sister of John (Audrie) Merrell, James (Juanita) Merrell, Bill Campbell, the late Vernon Merrell, Melvin Campbell and Thelma Mauk; and sister-in-law of Marsha Merrell.
Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Ferguson was devoted to her ministry and Bible education as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
She enjoyed sewing, baking and reading. But most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family, children and especially her grandchildren.
A service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, December 31, in The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 70 Cleveland Road, Washington, PA 15301. Internment will be private.
