Joseph P. Ross, 83, formerly of Bridgeville, died Saturday, December 23, 2017.
He was born August 31, 1934, in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Joseph Russo Ross and Helen Litwin Ross.
Prior to his retirement, Mr. Ross worked as a truck driver for Suwak Trucking for 35 years.
He was a member of Teamsters Union. He enjoyed cutting grass and taking care of his yard.
Surviving are his sons, Joseph P. Ross of Florida, Vince Ross of West Virginia, Michael Ross and wife Robin of Richeyville and Greg Ross and wife Amy of Strabane; a daughter, Joann Ross; a sister, Janet Zombek and husband Leonard of Bridgeville; five grandchildren, Justin (Jennifer Thomas) Ross, Kristin Ross, Jesse (BreAnne) Ross, Jena Ross and Tess (Eugene) Crooks; four great-grandchildren, Emma, Bevin, Eugene and Aubree; a niece, Amy Zombek; and a nephew, Eric Zombek.
Deceased, in addition to his parents, are a daughter, Judy Ross, and his companion of more than 20 years, Margaret Thomas.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Sollon Funeral and Cremation Services Ltd., 30 East College Street, Canonsburg, Phillip L. Sollon, supervisor, J. David Sollon, director, 724-746-1000, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, December 29. Interment will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Peters Township.
