Ellen E. Brawdy, 68, of Finleyville, died Monday, December 25, 2017, in her home, following a 12-year battle with ovarian cancer.
She was born July 31, 1949, in New Eagle, a daughter of the late Hugh “Bud” and Reva Orndoff Murray.
Ms. Brawdy was employed as a Realtor with Century 21 VanVoorhis and Frontier Realty in Finleyville. She was previously co-owner of the former Town & Country Saloon in Finleyville.
She was a member of American Legion Post 613 Ladies Auxiliary and Women of the Moose, both in Finleyville. She enjoyed golf, traveling and spending time with friends.
Surviving are her best friend and companion, Lenny Patton; a brother, William “Bones” Murray of West Newton; four nephews; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Deceased is a son, Ryan Brawdy, who died in October 2013.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in Kegel Funeral Home Inc., Tim P. Kegel, supervisor, David P. Kegel, director, 3560 Washington Avenue, Finleyville, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, December 30. Interment will follow in Finleyville Cemetery.
