Deborah “Debbie” Joy Miller, 73, of Washington, died Wednesday, December 27, 2017, in Washington Hospital.
She was born June 22, 1944, in Canonsburg, a daughter of the late Andrew James Miller Sr. and Georgia Mae Arthur Miller.
She was a 1963 graduate of Trinity High School and attended Allegheny Community College.
Before retiring, she worked at Mayview State Hospital as a psychiatric aide for over 30 years. She also worked at South Hills Convalescent Home.
She enjoyed shopping at Goodwill, bargain hunting and playing the slots at the casino. She also collected sports memorabilia.
Surviving are two brothers, Andrew James (Sharon L.) Miller Jr. of Amity and Gary Scott (Ada) Miller of Alvaredo, Texas; a sister Pamela Thomas (John) Shrader of Washington; nieces and nephews, Andrew J. Miller III, Ronald Gary “Butch” Miller, Delores “Dee” Miller, Bryan Miller, Thomas Miller Jr., Tim Miller, Mindy Miller, Wendell Dille, Mike Thompson, Jeff Thompson, Chris Thompson, Tony Thompson, Andy Shrader, John Shrader and Mike Shrader; 12 great-nieces and nephews that she was close to; a cousin who was like a sister, Linda Arthur Stiles; and close friend, Diane Terrell.
Deceased are two brothers, Alvin E. “Toby” Miller and Thomas Ray Miller; a sister Maryann Thompson Rauschler; and a nephew, Curt Dille.
Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 10 to 11 a.m., the time of service, Saturday, December 30, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. Burial will follow at Washington Cemetery.
