John James Batykefer, 86, of Franklin Park, died suddenly Thursday, December 28, 2017.
He was the beloved husband for 66 years of Georgine (Alba) Batykefer; loving father of Fr. John J. Batykefer, Wilma (Ronald) Misencik, Georgia (John) Steidle, Fran (Greg) Sunderland and Glen Batykefer; grandfather of Jill, Ronnie, Jake, Kendra and Gina; great-grandfather of Alexis, Emily, Cyan, Ronnie, Abby, Shayah, Justice, Haydn, Olivia, Nathan and Isabella.
He was preceded in death by five brothers and sisters.
He was a faithful member of Sts. John and Paul Parish.
Family will welcome friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m Sunday in Schellhaas and Sons Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 1600 Stone Mansion Drive, Sewickley, PA 15143, Franklin Park/Wexford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, January 2, in Sts. John and Paul Catholic Church.
