Patricia Lynn “Joey” Lunden, 72, of Morgantown, W.Va., passed away Sunday, December 24, 2017, after an extended illness.
She was born August 17, 1945, in Morgantown, a daughter of the late Carl J. Lunden and Geraldine Davey Lunden.
Miss Lunden was a 1963 graduate of Grafton (W.Va.) High School. After graduation, she attended Grace College and Fairmont State College in West Virginia.
She had a long and successful career in finance and business administration. Her career took her to Charleston, W.Va., San Francisco, Calif., New York City, N.Y., Phoenix, Ariz., and back to Morgantown. She retired from Mon Valley Integration in 2016.
Of all her jobs, the one most dear to her heart was the one she fondly called “radio” at West Virginia Radio Corp., where she served as credit manager for 10 years. She loved to talk “radio,” and there she left behind many dear friends, including Donna Tubolino.
Miss Lunden’s first love was her career, but she also loved international travel, Arizona and the sun, reading, and a good Irish coffee.
Surviving are a brother, James Lunden and wife Kathy; a nephew, Ian Lunden and wife Sara; and grandniece and nephew Braeden and Julia, all of Morgantown.
As per her wishes, there will be no visitations or services.
