Genevieve Mary Egbert, 98, of Canonsburg, went to be with her Lord and her husband, on the Feast of All Saints Day, Wednesday, November 1, 2017.
She was born December 8, 1918, in Canonsburg, a daughter of Konstanty and Mary Zymolzak Prusak.
Mrs. Egbert was a member of Holy Rosary Church, where she was a member of the Christian Mothers Society. She was active with the Democratic County Committee for 25 years.
Mrs. Egbert was a dedicated wife, mother and homemaker. She enjoyed Polka dancing and playing bingo at McDonald-Cecil Senior Citizens Center.
Surviving are her daughter, Mary Ellen Egbert of Canonsburg; sisters Agnes Bevec of Canonsburg and Dorothy Bunevich and husband George of Canonsburg; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, deceased are her loving husband of over 55 years, Raymond Egbert, who died May 14, 2002, and her sisters, Bertha Thompson, Clara Couderc and Nancy Prusak.
Friends will be received from 2 to 7 p.m. Friday in Sollon Funeral and Cremation Services Ltd., 30 East College Street, Canonsburg, Phillip L. Sollon, supervisor, J. David Sollon, director, 724-746-1000. Departing prayer services will be held at 9:15 a.m. Saturday, November 4, in the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Holy Rosary Church, Muse.
Interment will follow in Queen of Heaven Mausoleum, McMurray.
