Barbara Marie Rankin, 62, of Cross Creek, passed away Friday evening, November 3, 2017, as a result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.

She was born June 18, 1955, in Washington, a daughter of the late Wilford Lee and Marian Jane McCreary Rankin.

A 1973 graduate of Avella High School, she also graduated from Penn Commercial in Washington.

Ms. Rankin had a 42 year career with Pennformer Credit Union in Canonsburg, where she was manager and looking forward to retiring in 2018.

She enjoyed working on her family farm in Cross Creek, especially cutting grass. Most important to her was the time she spent with her loving family.

Surviving are her brother, Rodney Joel Rankin and wife Linda of Bulger; sister, Jil Ann Rankin of Cross Creek; nieces and nephews, Corey McConn, Jason Rankin and Lisa Taggart and husband Donnie; great-nieces and nephews, Cody Rankin, Madison Rankin, Tyler, Abbie and Matthew Cerciello; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Deceased, in addition to her parents, is a sister, Deborah Lee McConn.

To honor her wishes, services and inurnment in Cross Creek Cemetery will be held privately by her family.
