Gary Wayne Parkinson, 57, of South Franklin Township, died Friday, November 3, 2017, in his home.
He was born August 19, 1960, in Washington, a son of the late David Parkinson and LaVera Woods Parkinson.
A 1979 graduate of McGuffey High School, Mr. Parkinson worked as a carpenter for Forest Homes for many years.
He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Mr. Parkinson attended Mt. Hermon Church.
Surviving are his fianceé, Brenda L. Bardella; sister Debra (Bill) Lindley; brother David “Porky” Parkinson; sister-in-law Judi Parkinson; nieces, Kelli (Daniel) Mahan and Billi Jo (Liberty) Huffman; nephews, Chad (Brandi) Lindley, Mark “Peekers” (Amber) Parkinson and Erik Parkinson; and great-nieces and great-nephews, Gabriel and Joslynn Huffman, Dani and Jade Mahan, Lily-Ann and Ray-Lyn Parkinson, Damian, Kollin and Jace Lindley and Hunter Malli.
He will be greatly missed by his loving dog, Wiggles.
There will be no public visitation. Arrangements have been entrusted to William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington.
