Freda E. Hoberek Bongiorni, 67, of Burgettstown, passed away Wednesday evening, November 8, 2017, after a courageous 25-year battle with cancer, in Bridgeville Rehabilitation and Care Center, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born October 8, 1950, a daughter of the late Stanley and Margaret Marie Windland Hoberek.
A graduate of Union High School in Burgettstown, she owned her own cleaning business.
Ms. Bongiorni enjoyed playing cards, going to the casinos and the comfort of her family and friends.
Surviving are brothers and sisters Natch Hoberek of Burgettstown, Mary Jane Hoberek Prevost and husband Harry of Burgettstown, Otha Ray Hoberek and wife Phyllis of Eldersville, Stanley Hoberek of East Liverpool, Ohio, George Hoberek and wife Debbie of Burgettstown, David Hoberek and wife Robin of Bulger and Martha Ammon of Cleveland, Ohio; several nieces and nephews; and companion Steve Biekarck.
Deceased, in addition to her parents, are a sister, Shirley Ringer and husband Don; a brother, Robert Hoberek; and a sister-in-law, Audrey Hoberek.
Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to noon, the time of memorial service, Saturday, November 18, in Lee & Martin Funeral Home, 73 Highland Avenue, Burgettstown. A luncheon celebrating her life will follow in Langeloth Community Center.
