Leonard Dominic Zullo “Len, Lenny, Mr. Z” transitioned to his heavenly home Sunday, November 5, 2017, at the young age of 73. A cancer survivor a few times over, this most recent battle was his last.

A native of Canonsburg, and resident of Salisbury, Md., since 1976, he was best known as the operations manager of Hecht’s for over 41 years, retiring in 2008.

He was a frequent patron of Goin’ Nuts Café and The Village Inn. His fun post-retirement job was as a field marketer for Herl’s Bath and Tile as the lead producer and beloved mentor to the staff.

Mr. Zullo was an avid golfer, played in a competitive billiards league and was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church. He loved to travel, his favorite was many places in Arizona. His latest trip was to Hawaii in October 2016 with his wife, sister and brother-in-law.

He was a Vietnam era veteran, serving three years in the Pennsylvania National Guard and four years in the Virginia Army Reserve.

Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Betti Zullo, their only child Tiffanie (Paul) Lyon, and only grandson Zachary, who reside in Slidell, La.; sister Maria (Leonard) Dornberger of Dover, Del.; brother Andrew (Sue) Zullo of Canonsburg; and will be remembered and missed by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Mr. Zullo was loved by so many.

Predeceased by parents Leonard and Irene Rossi-Zullo.

Calling hours will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday in Holloway Funeral Home, Salisbury. Additional visitation will be held from 9 to 10 a.m,., the time of a celebration of life service, Monday, November 20, in Asbury United Methodist Church, Salisbury. A reception will follow the service at the church. All are welcome.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Richard A. Henson Cancer Center, Salisbury.
