Phyllis Sworchek Fischer went to be with her Lord Tuesday, November 14, 2017.
She was born February 17, 1937, the middle daughter of the late Vincent J. and Jane Marie Petroski Sworcheck.
After retiring from ANSYS Inc., she enjoyed time with her grandchildren, traveling with her husband and polka dancing. She also enjoyed volunteering and spending time at Holy Trinity Catholic Church making blankets and pierogies and working the famous fish fries.
On August 22, 1955, she married Roy Duane Fischer, who passed away March 23, 2008.
She leaves behind four daughters, Roxanne (Larry) Moskal of Houston, Cindy Sue (Kevin) Kramer of Cross Creek, Jamie Ann (Patrick) Berdine of Moon Township and Elizabeth Jane (Gene) Kmetz; a son, James Vincent Fischer of McDonald; and nine grandchildren.
Services will be private. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Township.
