Debra Lynn Schurr, 63, of Washington, lost her long battle with cancer Friday, November 17, 2017.
She was born June 22, 1954, in Danville, Ky., a daughter of Paul Furr of North Carolina and the late Beth Anne Hoffmyer Furr.
Mrs. Schurr moved around the country with her family, until they settled in Peters Township when she was young. She graduated from Peters Township High School in 1972 and received an associate’s degree in merchandising from Wheeler School, Pittsburgh.
She was a certified nurse’s aide at Friendship Village of South Hills for 10 years, until her retirement for health reasons.
On May 22, 1989, she married George “Jerry” Schurr, who survives.
As a couple, they did a lot of traveling and enjoyed many camping trips.
She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Deceased, in addition to her mother, is a sister, Pam.
