Florence I. “Toodie” Ramsey, 88, of Strabane Trails, formerly of Lady Lake, Fla., left us Saturday, November 18, 2017, to be with her Lord and her husband of 69 years, Chis.
She was born December 31, 1928, in Derry, a daughter of the late James and Mildred Gray.
She was a 1946 graduate of Derry High School.
On March 22, 1947, she married Charles “Chis” Ramsey, who passed November 2, 2016.
Mrs. Ramsey was a stay-at-home mom and raised four sons. She later worked as a phlebotomist at Latrobe Hospital.
She and her husband lived in Derry until 1987, when they retired to The Villages, Fla., where they resided until Mr. Ramsey passed. She then returned to Pennsylvania, residing in Strabane Trails senior apartments.
Surviving are four sons, Ronald Ramsey (Karen), Donald Ramsey (Gerrie), Robert Ramsey (Melinda) and Timothy Ramsey (Beth); 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Deceased, in addition to her parents and husband, are a brother, Jim, and a stepsister, Eleanor.
Services will be private with interment to follow in National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Township.
