Mona Lisa Rose-O’Neil

Mona Lisa Rose-O’Neil, 59, of Denbeau Heights, Centerville Borough, lost her nine-year battle with cancer Tuesday, November 21, 2017, in her home, with her two daughters by her side.

She was born February 25, 1958, in Washington, a daughter of the late Leonard Sr. and Edith Moss Rose.

She spent all of her working years as a floral designer at various locations, the last being Colonial Floral and Gift Shoppe in Charleroi.

She enjoyed spending time with her daughters, grandchildren, family and friends. She also enjoyed reading Danielle Steel novels, gardening and the Pittsburgh Steelers.

She was married to Nixon R. “Finn” O’Neil, who lost his life to a tragic accident May 15, 2016, and has been sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Surviving are two daughters, Tina Marie Rockwell (Brian) of Bethlehem, Ga., and Ashley N. O’Neil (fiancé James Kline) of Millsboro; two grandsons, Bailey and Nathan Rockwell; a brother, Leonard Rose Jr. of California; and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased, in addition to her parents and husband, are two brothers, William T. and Donald L. Rose, and a sister, Edith May Salamone.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday and until 11 a.m., the time of service, Monday, November 27, in John B. Greenlee Funeral Home, 2830 Main Street, Beallsville, with Pastor Julia Kolacz officiating. Interment will follow in Taylor Cemetery, Brownsville.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to American Cancer Society Pennsylvania Division Inc., Southwest Region, 320 Bilmar Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15205.
