Samuel Reed Haney Jr., 69, of Pancake, Washington, passed away peacefully Monday, November 20, 2017.
Born on January 18, 1948, he was a son of the late Agnes Whitner Haney and Samuel Reed Haney Sr.
He was the beloved husband of Betty Haney since May 8, 1971; loving father of Candy (Corey) Frenz and Chad Reed (Shawna) Haney; cherished grandfather of Cooper Reed Haney, Ella Reets Haney and Isabella Ailis; stepgrandfather of Jace and Kainen; and dear brother of Rebecca (William) Hixenbaugh and Nancy (Jack) Picio. He is also survived by many in-laws, nieces and nephews.
Mr. Haney was a 1967 graduate of Trinity High School and served with the U.S. Army after graduation.
He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him
Family and friends are welcome from 1 to 6 p.m. Friday in Cremation and Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Road, McMurray, PA 15317, 724-260-5546. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 25, in the funeral home. Burial will be private.
