Frances “Dolly” Vinkovich Dochenetz, 94, of Bentleyville, passed away Sunday, October 15, 2017, in The Residence at Hilltop, Monongahela, following a period of treatment at Monongahela Valley Hospital. She died of natural causes.

She was born January 1, 1923, in Bentleyville, a daughter of John and Anne Cizmek Vinkovich.

She was a graduate of Bentleyville High School Class of 1941. Following graduation, she worked in a defense plant until the war was over and then returned to Bentleyville.

She and husband Frank “Feathers” Dochenetz owned and operated Bentleyville Hardware, Heating and Plumbing for over 50 years, until his death in 1991. She continued the business with her daughter and son.

Mrs. Dochenetz was a past member of True Value Hardware Board of Directors in Pittsburgh. As a businesswoman, she loved serving the people of Bentleyville, with a love for the town.

Surviving are a granddaughter, Ariel Dochenetz; her siblings, brother Ivan Vinkovich (Florence) of Dover, Ohio, and brother Donald J. Vinkovich (Barbara) of Circleville, Ohio; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Deceased, in addition to her husband, are a daughter, Catherine Gregor; and a son, Fred Dochenetz.

Friends are welcome from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, October 21, in Thompson-Marodi Funeral Home Inc., 809 Main Street, Bentleyville, 724-239-2255, where a blessing service will begin at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Edward L. Yuhas officiating. Interment will follow in Mon Valley Memorial Park, Donora. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials to Bentleyville Public Library, 931 Main Street, Bentleyville, PA 15314.
