JJohn D. Smith, 81, of Bentleyville, passed away Monday, October 16, 2017, in his home.
He was born April 23, 1936, in Bentleyville, a son of the late Thomas Sr. and Mary Puskarich Smith.
Mr. Smith was a 1954 graduate of Bentleyville High School.
He was employed as a bricklayer by Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel, Allenport Works for 43 years, retiring in 1998.
Surviving are two daughters, Denise Blackburn (J.K. Kennedy) of Bentleyville and Robin Smith (Michael Salmon) of Orange County, Calif.; five grandchildren, David, Kelly and Jill Blackburn, Bryant McCallum and Haley Salmon; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are his wife, Margaret Pizzutelli Smith, who died in 1992; three brothers, Thomas Smith Jr., George Smith and Frank Smith; and two sisters, Katherine Kollar and Marjorie Smith.
All services are private and under the direction of Greenlee Funeral Home, 619 Main Street, Bentleyville. Interment will be held in Beallsville Cemetery.
