Ronald H. Watters, 69, of Waynesburg, formerly of Jefferson, died Thursday, October 19, 2017, in Washington Hospital.

He was born November 5, 1947, in Waynesburg, a son of the late Homer and Sarah Johnson Watters.

Mr. Watters first worked at Fisher Body in Cleveland, Ohio, where he met his sweetheart, Drema. He then returned to Greene County, where he worked as a coal miner for 15 years at Bethlehem Steel and then decided to open his own business. With his wife, he owned and operated Watters Pools and R&D Watters Septic Service.

Mr. Watters was a quiet man who enjoyed working, spending time with his family and friends, caring for his animals and spending time at his farm.

He attended Rolling Meadows Church of God.

On June 22, 1968, he married Drema Marie Clendenin, who survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, D. Ronnette Watters-Benamati (Tim Lemley) of Waynesburg and Amanda Lynn Watters-Bibovic and husband Frank of Jefferson, N.J., and three grandchildren, Sydney Hare, Dominic Benamati and Arian Bibovic.

Deceased are a daughter, Treva Diane Watters, and a sister, Suzanne Watters Deter.

Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Behm Funeral Homes Inc., 1477 Jefferson Road, Jefferson, PA 15344, Gregory P. Rohanna, supervisor, where services will be held at noon Wednesday, October 25, with the Rev. Richard D. Berkey and Father J. Francis Frazer officiating. Burial will follow in Jefferson Cemetery. Family and friends are also welcome to attend a luncheon following the committal service at approximately 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Jefferson Volunteer Fire Company.
