Bobby Webb, 91, passed away Monday, October 23, 2017, in Okemah, Okla.

He was born October 19, 1926, in the Pleasant Ridge community south of Wetumka, Okla., a son of the late Edward and Ruth Smith Webb.

He attended Wetumka High School and graduated in 1944. He served in the U.S. Army in the Pacific Theater during World War II until 1947.

Afterward, he worked for a pipeline company, among a variety of other jobs, until he married Lois Matthews Webb in 1951. He worked for Weirton Steel from 1951 until 1981, and then moved back to Oklahoma in 1982.

Surviving are his wife of 67 years, Lois Webb of Okemah; his daughter, Gail Sanders and husband Jerry of Wetumka; his grandchildren, Kendall and Kasey Choate of Oklahoma City, Okla., Michael Sanders of Wetumka and Jeremy and Kim Clayton of Afton, Okla.; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, October 26, in Wetumka Cemetery. The Rev. Claude Butler will officiate and pallbearers will be James Estep, Jerry Sanders, Claude Stafford, Billy Dean Price, Michael Sanders and Johnny Anderson. Services are under the direction of Williamson-Spradlin Funeral Home.
