Judy L. Kelley, 53, of Carmichaels, died unexpectedly as the result of a stroke Wednesday, October 25, 2017, in Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, W.Va.

She was born November 28, 1963, in La Jolla, California, a daughter of Wayne Albert Bond of Bullhead City, Ariz. and Jill Ann Berry Ellis, who resided with her.

She was raised in Los Angeles and Lancaster, Calif., and met her husband, Scott, while he was serving with the U.S. Marine Corps in Camp Pendleton, Calif. Once Scott completed his tour of duty, the couple moved back to the family farm in Greene County in 1991. She worked in banking, first at Community Bank in Carmichaels, and for the past 14 years at Washington Financial in Washington. Her husband, Scott, was very proud of her transition from the city life in Los Angeles to the country life in Greene County. The couple enjoyed horseback riding and taking care of their dogs and farm animals. The pair made many friends throughout the world through online gaming.

Surviving, in addition to her parents and husband, Scott E. Kelley, whom she married May 24, 1985, are a daughter, Nicole Renee Candace Smith of Carmichaels; two sons, Nathan Sean Pherson Kelley of Waynesburg and Shane Bond, a nephew who Judy and Scott raised, of Fairmont; a granddaughter, Hailie Jean Michelle Kelley; three brothers, George Duncan of Roseburg, Ore., David Duncan and wife Nieves of San Pedro, Calif. and Ian Ellis and wife Aimee of Myrtle Creek, Ore.; her father and mother-in-law, Harold and Norma Kelley of Carmichaels; and several nieces and nephews.
