Elizabeth A. Strnisa, 88, of Canonsburg, passed away Sunday, October 29, 2017, in North Strabane Rehabilitation and Wellness Center, Canonsburg.
She was born January 25, 1929, in Muse, a daughter of the late Albert and Katherine Bishop Borza.
On June 21, 1952, she married Frank A. Strnisa, who passed away August 6, 2002.
Mrs. Strnisa was a faithful member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Canonsburg.
She was a graduate of Chartiers-Houston High School.
Mrs. Strnisa was employed by Brody’s Furniture and RCA in the accounting department, until her retirement.
Surviving are her only daughter, Joyce M. Kortepeter of Canonsburg; three sons, Frank W. Strnisa (Sherry) of Burgettstown, Ronald W. Strnisa (Lori) of Canonsburg and Christopher Strnisa (Lisa) of Clinton; a brother, William Borza (Inga) of San Francisco, Calif.; a sister, Dolores McQuaid (Dave) of Canonsburg; a sister-in-law, Alice Borza of Oregon; 11 grandchildren, Steven and Christopher Kortepeter, Joshua, Zachary and Scott Strnisa, Sierra, Soren and Sandor Strnisa and Jayden, Jacob and Bailey Strnisa; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to her husband and parents, is a brother, Albert Borza.
Friends are welcome from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services Inc., Joseph P. Salandra, owner/supervisor, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg, 724-745-8120, where departing prayers will start at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, November 2. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 a.m. in St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, 317 West Pike Street, Canonsburg. Interment will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery, Canonsburg.
