Herman S. “Stanley” Russell, 73, of Washington, passed away Monday, October 30, 2017, in Washington Hospital, following a brief illness.
He was born February 11, 1944, in Alliance, Neb., a son of the late Herman E. Russell and Frances Marth Russell.
Mr. Russell served in the U.S. Army.
He enjoyed hunting and watching sports, especially the Steelers. He loved his most favorite dog, Chubby, and also Chi-Chi and Misty Sue.
On June 15, 1990, he married his wife of 27 years, Teresa J. Varner.
Also surviving are son Stanley “Squeak” (Mary) Russell of Florida; daughter Joann Russell of Washington; son Christopher Russell of Washington; sisters Diane (Bill) Davidson of Canonsburg and Evelyn (John) Conti of Washington; brother William (Katie) Russell of Arizona; sisters Linda (Raymond) Ruffalo and Zelda (Jay) Gault, both of Avella; brother David (Barbara) Russell of Washington; sister Lillian (Kevin) Donaldson of Taylorstown; seven grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Deceased is a brother, Wayne Russell.
At the request of the family, all services will be private and in the care of William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, PA 15301.
