Marjorie Marie Curry, 86, of Canonsburg, passed away peacefully in her sleep Friday, March 30, 2018, in Hawthorne Woods Assisted Living, South Strabane Township.
Marge was born January 14, 1932, a daughter of William B. Jennings and Alma Cotter Jennings. She grew up and was educated in Lost Creek, W.Va.
On September 16, 1950, she married Luther R. Curry Jr., who died December 10, 2005.
Surviving are a son, Ralph Lynn (Mimi) Curry of West Chester, and a daughter, Rebecca Ruth (Richard) Deems of Washington. She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren, Mike Curry, Patrick Curry, Jennifer Curry, Justin (Meg) Curry, Danny Deems and Katie Deems. She was introduced to her only great-grandchild, Layla Deems, in December 2017.
Mrs. Curry was known for her love of dancing, especially boogie-woogie, square and polka. She also enjoyed camping and crafts.
At the request of the deceased, there will be no viewing or service. She will be cremated and her ashes spread on the six-acre Curry Farm in Lost Creek alongside her husband.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may made to Alzheimer’s Association.
