Eugene Reed Westfall died Thursday, February 22, 2018.

He was born June 24, 1935, a son of Paul and Lyda Westfall of Taylorstown.

Eugene is survived by two brothers, Harold and James Westfall; a sister, Carol Ann Rothwell; and multiple nieces and nephews.

Deceased are two siblings, Thomas Edward Westfall and Mary Jane Thomas.

Eugene served proudly in the U.S. Navy from 1953 to 1957.

He retired after 35 years of service from Operating Engineers Local 66.

Eugene was divorced with no children. He spent his retirement in south Florida, while traveling among friends and family in his RV. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, playing cards and spending time with his great-niece, Alexandria. He lived life on his own terms, in his own way and had few regrets.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 14, in Taylorstown Christian Church. All are welcome.
