James Aaron Nixon, 29, of Cuddy, died Saturday, April 7, 2018.

He was born May 2, 1988, in Denver, a son of William Edward Nixon and Cheryl Culver Hackman.

James was a graduate of Fort Cherry High School. He was president of his culinary class at Western Area Career and Technology Center and graduated from the Bidwell Training Center culinary program.

He was an avid Pittsburgh Penguins and Steelers fan. He was a talented chef and musician, former mixed martial arts fighter and friend to all.

Surviving are his wife, Sarai Garman; his father, William E. (Pamela) Nixon of Avella; his mother, Cheryl (Michael) Hackman of Denton, Texas; three brothers, David Allen (Amber Carrigan) Wisniewski of Parker, Colo., William E. Nixon Jr. of Avella and Greg (Kelley) Gayarski of Virginia Beach, Va.; grandmothers Helga Nixon of Meadow Lands and Angie Beth Culver of Denton; and two nieces, Mira Wisniewski and Emma Gayarski.

Deceased are his grandfathers, Edward Nixon and Hebert Ray Culver.

Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and 10 to 11 a.m., the time of service, Saturday, April 14, in Sollon Funeral and Cremation Services Ltd., 30 East College Street, Canonsburg, Phillip L. Sollon, supervisor, J. David Sollon, director, 724-746-1000. Burial will follow in Oak Spring Cemetery, Chartiers Township.
